3.         DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

RHA takes its responsibility to safeguard personal information very seriously and in order to protect it RHA works to the guidelines of the Data Protection Act 1998.

This privacy statement sets out how RHA will use personal information; centre and centre manager information will be held by RHA and used in the following ways:

Ø     For the administration of PfS business, including record keeping

Ø     For the provision of education or training information

Ø     For research and internal statistical analysis.

Centres and Centre Managers

At times RHA will share information with the DCSF as part of its contracted services and does so under conditions of confidentiality. RHA will not pass any personal details on to other third parties, unless it is legally obliged or permitted to do so.

It is the centre manager’s responsibility to ensure that the factual information provided to RHA about PfS centres and PfS core study support and wider delivery is accurate and up to date.  RHA will use this information in the promotion of centres and the wider PfS initiative without seeking further permission to publish.

As part of the support provided by RHA some information obtained will not be for public dissemination but will inform the ongoing development of individual centres and/or the PfS initiative and may be shared with the DCSF as part of the contract reporting terms. RHA will apply strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised or inappropriate access to this information.

Cookies
