Clubs |
For nearly all centres the clubs act as the host for the PfS centre, and provide the backdrop for learning. There are only a couple of exceptions to this model. In all cases the club provides an inspirational link to sport, with all that includes, the environment, the branding, logos, access to players and club personnel, merchandise, and real life learning situations. Without the clubs, PfS simply wouldn’t be. We value their partnership immensely. |
Local authorities |
The local authority funds PfS through the DCSF Standards Fund. The local authority has a role as the responsible body for PfS, providing line management, Continuing Professional Development, links with other LA departments, administrative and financial support, whilst also managing quality. The local authorities, like the clubs are essential partners to PfS, and their contribution is fully appreciated. |

“The British Horseracing Education and Standards Trust (BHEST) is a registered charity and government-recognised awarding body for a range of qualifications in the racing, breeding, equine and farriery industries. It is also responsible for developing and delivering the Racing to School education programme. BHEST supports four PfS centres based at The National Stud in Newmarket, Cheltenham, Wolverhampton and Aintree racecourses, and recently ran a pilot day with the Warriors Centre in Worcester.
